Environmentally concerned customers are looking for premium mattresses

Mr. Nitin Gupta, Executive Director, VFI Group

Q Can you provide an overview of the latest product innovations Springfit has introduced to the market, and how they align with current consumer trends?

Consumers’ preferences and patterns are shifting rapidly. Indian buyers are becoming more aware of the products they use and how they are created. They opt for eco-friendly products.  Recognizing the shift in demand, we are modernizing our products. Recently, we launched the Emporio Collection, which is aimed at environmentally concerned customers looking for premium mattresses. These mattresses are made using 100% Organic Latex, sourced from Thailand. The organic latex is harvested from natural trees and is free of harmful chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides. Ensuring the best quality and organic nature, the latex we use is certified by GOLS. These mattresses also feature natural and sustainable materials, which is consistent with current consumer tendencies towards sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Q How has Springfit adapted its business strategy in response to recent economic changes & what impact has this had on your company’s performance? What is your online sales plan?

As our economy is not only dynamic but complex too, there are always ripples and changes, and when you are doing business in such a country, you have to always be on your toes. Currently, we are at an interesting juncture with both increased business opportunities and significant challenges, including a substantial phase of inflation. We have established high-tech factories to produce high-quality products at a larger scale and lower cost. Moreover. we, are always investing in R&D to upgrade our products so we can cater to and satisfy a broader consumer base around the world. Additionally, we are also actively working to harness the potential of digital marketplaces. We are establishing ourselves as a trusted mattress manufacturer on major e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Pepperfry etc along with our D2C platform. We are looking forward to leveraging significant contributions in sales from the online ecosystem.

Q Sustainability is a growing concern for many consumers. What initiatives has Springfit implemented to address environmental impact and promote sustainable practices within the company?

At Springfit, we are employing several initiatives to address our environmental impact and promote sustainable practices. Firstly, we are using eco-friendly materials, such as natural latex, organic cotton, recycled foams and coils. Last year, we expanded our commitment to sustainability by acquiring an organic latex mattress manufacturing factory in Thailand. This move allows us to produce high-quality organic latex mattresses with a reduced carbon footprint. Our manufacturing processes are designed to minimize waste and reduce carbon emissions. Through these initiatives Springfit aims to contribute to a healthier planet while providing our customers with high-quality, sustainable sleep solutions.
